A printable copy can be useful when you want to read the guide away from a screen or keep an offline reference. In Case I Can't can generate a PDF containing your personal message and instructions while your subscription is active.
The PDF is a snapshot. Changes you make afterward do not update a file that has already been downloaded or printed.
Check the guide before downloading
Preview the content and correct anything outdated or unclear. Review names, contact details, folder locations, and priorities. Make sure confidential information has not been included accidentally.
After downloading, open the file and look through it before printing or sharing. Think about where the copy will be kept and who could read it there.
Keep track of the version
Use a sensible file name or an accompanying note that identifies when you saved the copy. After a meaningful change, generate a new PDF if you still need an offline reference. Let anyone holding an older copy know that there is a newer version.
Do not assume that all copies can be retrieved. Someone may have made additional copies after receiving one.
Choose download permissions deliberately
Trusted Person PDF downloads are off by default. You can enable or disable the feature separately for each person. They can download only when the applicable access and subscription requirements are met.
Turning the permission off later does not delete a file already saved. Removing access or allowing the subscription to expire also cannot erase printed or downloaded copies. Even online-only viewers can copy or photograph information.
Your PDF can be a practical reference, but it has the same limits as the online guide: it does not become a legal document or give someone authority to act for you. Keep formal records and arrangements separate, and use the copy to help someone find the information and contacts they need.
